Georgia Bulldogs in The College Football Playoff National Championship Game
The College Football Playoff is an annual four team tournament to determine the national champion of the NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Division (FBS), the highest level of college football in the United States (major college football).
Georgia is headed to the College Football Final after defeating Oklahoma 54-48 in double overtime of Monday's Rose Bowl Game. Georgia the SEC champion trailed Oklahoma the Big 12 Champion 31-14 in the second quarter, but the Georgia coaching staff made strategic changes at half-time and the Georgia defense dominated the second half line of scrimmage. Baker Mayfield the Oklahoma quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner struggled in the second half throwing for only 87 yards in the second half along with a key interception.
